In 2008, we launched the first-of-its-kind social networking site exclusively for a brand: ‘Jägermeister Live Loud’. Linking directly into consumers’ existing Facebook profiles, we gave them the chance to appear in a Jägermeister billboard — by uploading an image of themselves ‘living loud’ and having their friends vote for them.
The Live Loud website generated over 100,000 entries, and over 90% of visitors linked Jägermeister directly to their Facebook profiles, leading to a sales increase of over 200%.
